During an investigation within the Takasugi clan, Gintoki discovered that there has been several kidnappings within Tokyo centred around Shibuya--King of the Night, Housen's, turf. With Tsukuyo asking for his assistance on the case, Gintoki couldn't refuse, despite his interference going against the fearsome Takasugi's orders.
The Shinsengumi police department have been secretly working to bring Housen down. Naturally their Vice-Commander, Hijikata, has been wrapped up in the same investigation as Gintoki and Tsukuyo. Tsukuyo surmises that Hinowa, the top courtesan in the pleasure district, would have vital information of trafficking in Tokyo, but was locked in the penthouse of club Moon and Stars for years.
Upon meeting a boy who claimed to be Hinowa's son, Seita, they discovered a secret passage that would lead into the club. And so, the three devised a plan to rescue her. Gintoki attempted to leave Takasugi's clan but was denied.
During their mission, Gintoki and Hijikata encountered Jiraia--leader of the Red Spiders and a skilled fighter. Although their fight was victorious, and Hinowa was saved, a heavy burden hangs in the air over Jiraia's survival. See the end of the chapter for notes. Another finger prick.
