Firstpage :. Abstract :. We describe the concepts of ITS-combined ATM-based mobile multimedia communication system and its characteristics such that a mobile can be traceable and near the transition of handover region, next candidate base station is almost deterministic.
The suggested scheme for an effective handover at the mobile multimedia communication networks employs these two characteristics. We also discuss a method of maintaining a sequence order of ATM-cells during a handover process.
