Overview on Teaching Science and Qualities of Science Teachers

Both positions focus on anatomy education, but with different additional emphases. One position, part of a new masters program in Anesthesiology, will include neuroanatomy content. The other position will serve a masters program in Modern Anatomical Sciences with instruction in physiology. These positions will preferably be filled at the Assistant Professor level, although we will consider Associate Professor level applications depending on expertise and experience. Primary responsibilities include development of curriculum and teaching within health professions and graduate programs. The ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in teaching human anatomy including both dissection- and prosection-based approaches, as well as additional expertise in either neuroanatomy or physiology.

The positions require training and skills to explain basic science concepts, to relate Teqchers to clinical issues, and to develop virtual curricular content. Additional experience in teaching histology and designing graduate curricula, especially related to development of online materials, is preferred.
