When a brilliant young man struggles with addiction and mental illness, his vulnerable sister fights to keep him from harm over seemingly insurmountable odds. MATHEW has been an alcoholic his entire life when one night he gets so drunk he staggers onto the freeway and gets hit by a car and barely survives. His sister Kathy has just left a very manipulative and controlling relationship so caring for Mathew is the ideal antidote. Will this recent accident be enough of a hitting bottom that Mathew needs to listen and does Kathy, recently separated, have Homosexuality and Misogyny in Frankenstein strength to care for him without the controlling emotional and financial support of her ex-girlfriend and what gifts will Mathew end up giving Kathy? Mentally ill but at times incredibly lucid. He is very smart in math. Quite lovable.
