A Satirical Article On Cultural Relativism - can
From the dawn of the nineteenth century up to present time, the world evolved quickly and was endowed with lots of different cultures. The disparity between these cultures created certain links that brought each closer to one another. In this connection, the uniqueness of one culture as compared to another helps determine the type of interaction made between two or more dissimilar cultures. Depending on the level of respect and sensitivity that one cultural group has to another, the interaction is either good the relativistic view or bad the ethnocentric view. Cultural relativism seems to be the other side of ethnocentrism. If the former is the brighter end, the latter is considered to be its dark side. If another culture recognizes obese people as beautiful, then you must regard these people as beautiful, most especially if you are with them or if you are currently staying with them. It is the perception that if another group is doing a practice that seems to be contrary to your cultural norms, you then regard that practice immediately to be wrong. Just because a person is doing an activity that is not acceptable in your culture does not give you the right to regard it as abnormal. In the first place, nobody officially claimed that your culture is normal or the standard to be followed.A Satirical Article On Cultural Relativism - attentively would

Sam's contributions to other Books. Other podcast suggestions. Cultural relativism is a good thing self.
I believe there is a strong defense for a specific version of cultural relativism. To start, this is mostly for people who agree Sam Harris has not bridged the is-ought gap, and it is not possible for there to exist an objective secular morality. If you disagree with this, the rest of the post won't make sense. If we agree about the wellbeing game, and recognize that, as Sam suggested, there are many different ways to achieve wellbeing for example, one society, very tightly knit, focuses on bonds and friendships, another one, very individualistic, could focus more on striving out on your own and entrepreneurship, etc.
The constraints are based on a naturalistic understanding of human A Satirical Article On Cultural Relativism and the circumstances of human life. In addition, morality requires that persons have both effective agency and effective identity, and these can only be fostered in personal contexts such as the family. Hence, the impersonal perspective must be limited by the personal perspective. Any true morality would have to respect requirements such as these.]
