The discussion around moving to 8-player football began a couple years ago in Mendon, and when the move reached the school board, it received unanimous support. It was just a better fit for us with the numbers that we have.
In Southwest Michigan, small-school player teams have also found it difficult to fill out a schedule without traveling Schiol over the state.
