English US. Not much of a difference. Because the first phrase used "a" it becomes singular. You had one dream in Russian yesterday.

The second phrase "dreamt" could mean you had one or more dreams in Russian. It does not quantify. If talking about dreams one has at night in bed I'd probably say "yesterday night" or "night before last" or "last night.
