Solo developer Guy Godin last week released the version 1. In comments on Reddit , Godin stated that the new update will improve latency by some 10ms when a user is streaming virtual reality games to standalone virtual reality headsets such as Oculus Quest or Quest 2. Virtual Desktop Update 1. It is also going to resolve compatibility issues for games such as The Climb , Stormland and the Star Wars: Squadrons on Steam among others. The new update brings improvements in the VR latency, compatibility fixes and new environments. According to Godin, the new improvements include the following: — A Performance overlay option in the Streaming tab New Modern Apartment environments Reduction in latency when a user is streaming Virtual Reality games A Reset to default button in the Streaming tab You now get more accurate displayed VR latency representing the total motion-to-photon latency The virtual desktop microphone will no longer be disabled on disconnect There is now fixed game compatibility with a number of games including Hellblade , Stormland , Propagation VR , The Climb , Rez Infinite , Star Wars: Squadrons Steam and Pulsar Lost Colony.The Spatial platform which turns any room into a 3D workspace to help connect remote teams. Spatial is designed as a virtual solution for a variety of Environmwnts cases, including educational seminars, experiences and training, brainstorming sessions, immersive presentations, 3D model reviews, as well as being a potential research tool for government agencies and medical departments for Covid specific research. According to the company, users are also custom designing holiday themed Spatial rooms for parties and social gatherings.
