The Nigeria Air Force has denied claims that suspected Boko Haram insurgents shot down a helicopter carrying unidentified passengers in the Banki area of Borno state. DailyTrust had reported that the incident BBoko near Banki town at about 10 am on Tuesday, killing five passengers onboard. The publication added that an emergency source in Banki who visited the scene along with the military said that the insurgents were likely responsible for the crash adding that the helicopter belonged to the Nigerein government.
