Her research interests include injury biomechanics in the lower extremities, stress and overuse injuries, and the physical Sport Science of exercise on female athletes, including RED-S and stress fractures. She is currently in her first year of the Sports Science Masters program. Her Sport Science interests lie in the lower extremities and delving into the mechanics leading to an injury as well as the subsequent biomechanics after an injury. She also has an interest in the genetics of an athlete and exercise impact on gene expression.
Current Masters Students
visit web page Jason received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Rochester in His research and career interests include the implementation of technology in training to analyze and enhance athletic performance while reducing injury. Jason is currently interested in exploring motor control and coordination in youth athlete populations to improve movement patterns and efficiency while minimizing risk of injury.
Ryan received his BSE in biomedical engineering from Duke University inand he is currently a second year student in the Masters in Sports Science program. His research interests are centered around utilizing technology and engineering innovations to reduce injury risk and improve performance in athletes. Ryan currently holds a position Sport Science a laboratory engineer in the Clinical Biomechanics Orthopedic and Sports Outcome Laboratory COOR and contributes to projects focused on performance of baseball pitchers.
He also works as a research associate for Atrium Health's Musculoskeletal Institute, where he is conducting athlete testing and researching the effects of head supported mass on cervical spine biomechanics and injury risk in Sport Science forces operators.
Taylor's current work investigates alternative joint loading Scjence during gait in individuals following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Her next goal is to integrate a myriad of easy-to-use, reliable and portable performance tracking technologies in order to sustain peak performance and enhance the overall well-being of elite athletes. Shameel's professional experience includes data collection with the USC Women's Volleyball team and data analysis on elite high school aged basketball players with Jordan Brand. He is currently studying the relationship between altered ankle kinematics and knee injury risk in athletic female populations. His research interests include post-activation Sport Science and Sport Science strength training https://amazonia.fiocruz.br/scdp/blog/story-in-italian/an-analysis-of-let-it-snow-by.php athletic performance.
He is currently completing his first year as a Masters student in the Biokinesiology Sports Science program. His research interests are centered around how we can use wearable technology or other engineering-based solutions to correct irregular movement in populations with degenerative diseases. Shannon is currently in her first year of the Biokinesiology Sport Science program with an emphasis in Sports Science. Sciencw
Shannon currently works at Movement Performance Institute administering tests such as gait and running analyses, return to Sport Science evaluations, and strength tests that use analysis softwares and force plate data. Her research interests include injury prevention and post injury biomechanics of the lower extremities. Nathan received his M.
His research interests are in the use of technology and data analytics to optimize performance and reduce the risk of injury for professional athletes. He is currently a second year Master's student pursing a degree in Biokinesiology with a Sports Science emphasis and works under Dr.
Sigward in the Human Performance Lab. His career interests are centered around objectively quantifying athlete performance, and identifying suboptimal movement patterns through the use of biomechanical approaches and athlete tracking technology. Her research and career interests include the utilization of biomechanical and physiological analyses to characterize injury risk and performance in athletic populations. After participating in the clinical application Sport Science physical therapy, she aims to have a more in-depth insight into human movement science, specifically the trunk control and chronic pain.
