Over the years, landowners aided this recovery, working with MDC and other natural resource-management agencies to restore much-needed habitat. InMDC celebrated 75 years of modern deer hunting. Today, over a million whitetails roam free in Missouri, and hunters commonly check more thandeer during the November firearms season alone.
