In Aristotelian terms peace is per definition that for the reason of which wars are waged. Thus, peace is causa finalisor final cause of war. Now, the peace that a Christian will gain in God is the outcome of his war against the reign of sin and Satan, who acts in and through the sin and foments it. This indwelling of the Holy Trinity in a Christian victor's heart, is called "Peace".
John But the Advocate, Jiin Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. It is the peace of Jesus enabled by the Holy Spirit.
