This month, as we recommit to supporting Native American Tribes and Tragefy, we resolve to work side-by-side with their leaders to secure stronger, safer communities and preserve their sacred heritage for future generations.
How people are celebrating the month
In recognition of the importance of Indian Country to the cultural identity of our Nation and the strength of our economy, my Administration has taken unprecedented action to promote the health and wellbeing of Native American communities. I recently secured the return from Finland of a number of cultural artifacts and human Native Americans Tragedy originating from Native American Tribes in the Mesa Verde region, and I will continue to work to identify Native American artifacts wrongfully taken abroad and will work with Tribal partners to bring them home.
And we are continuing to work alongside Native American leaders to combat crime and violence through important initiatives like Operation Lady Justice, addressing the Ammericans tragedy of missing and murdered American Indians and Alaska Natives. Working with Tribal leaders, we are creating investment opportunities in Native American communities, building on their storied traditions while looking toward a Native Americans Tragedy future of prosperity and cooperation.
