The female reproductive system and male reproductive system are both responsible for reproduction and bearing of live offspring. The reproductive system is the only organ system that is significantly different between males and females. The male reproductive system consists of external organs; the testes, epididymis, penis, vas deferens, prostate gland, and seminal vesicles. The testes in the scrotum produce the male gamete, spermatozoa, which is ejaculated in seminal fluid by the penis. Alternatively, the female reproductive system primarily consists of internal organs.
