As a result of this, Buddhists believes that after this life two things could happen to a man. First, it is either he will be reborn into another being as in reincarnation or he finally attains nirvana where he would not live to suffer again. However, nirvana is for those who attained awakening just as the Buddha. Buddhists believe that death is not the end of someone. Moreover, the process of rebirth is still a path to attain awakening. This follows the law of karma where one faces the consequences of his immoral actions or reaps the fruit of his previous moral life. In Buddhism, the death and rebirth process will continue until the cause is finally extinct. And, the Buddha pointed desire as the trait that attaches one to continuous rebirth after death. Whereby, desire involves craving and wishing for so many things in life. And: Afterlife Beliefs

Afterlife Beliefs - very
In the earliest times, hominids did what they needed to do to survive and to reproduce without giving any thought to any kind of afterlife. But this does not mean that they had no spiritual grasp of the concept of death. Mourning the dead is commonly observed among more advanced forms of mammals, and this must necessarily indicate an understanding of what death means. And the remarkable scene of elephants solemnly examining elephant bones cannot fail to impress the sense that the elephants understand that those bones once belonged to a living member of their own kind. Eventually, more advanced hominids began the practice of burying the dead — a practice which appears among both modern humans and Neandertals during the Paleolithic. Going through the trouble of digging a grave for the deceased, and of covering the body with ochre and of adding grave goods with the body, may be signs that some belief in an afterlife existed in those most remote times, but it is impossible to be sure. Whenever humans began to imagine that there might be an afterlife, it seems that they generally believed that it must be a dark and gloomy place, perhaps reasoning that any life after life in this world must necessarily be devoid of light and vitality.Afterlife Beliefs Video
