Multiple, positive correlations exist between parental rejection and personality psychopathology in sexual orientation minorities. The domain of personality psychopathology correlated with rejection varied by type of rejection and parental figure.
Cisgender and transgender individuals experience significant differences in Antagonism and Impairment related to parental rejection. These preliminary results suggest the current research is too limited in its examination of sexual orientation minorities.
